Can anyone give me a good reason to keep my music essentials kit? I use a card reader to put music on, I e-mail myself ringtones and Bitpim apparently does not support this phone.

good news for you bitpim 0.94 supports the 8300 and there is no need for the music essentials kit cause i know damn well i dont use it and im happy as long as you have the play key set to my mp3's you are golden since you seem to have the card reader part down ...

Insane is right on... Golden indeed [on the front play key set to mp3's] as most of my music is the mp3 format & unprotected [non copyrighted]. I was able to drag & drop right onto the micro card using the computers card reader [w/ the card placed in the computer... but... Don't you need to put any "Protected/Copyrighted" mp3's on the micro disk "using the cable" with the micro disk IN THE PHONE otherwise we get error messages [on protected songs that I purchased legally] as the phone searches to get a license which it'll never find & simply not play the music? That might be a reason the keep the music essentials kit (or does bitpim or audacity make the music unprotected so we can use the music AS WE PLEASE?
