Comm Manager Question

When I first got the phone, pressing the Enter key from the Homescreen would bring up Comm Manager, which was very convenient. Now, pressing the Enter key does nothing. Any ideas on what I did? For that matter, is there a way to assign shortcuts to the navigation pad, as there are on most phones?

Thanks in advance...

Hi,

1. Highlight the 2nd line of your home screen - the one that says "Cingular" and the date/time. Then press Enter and you'll get the comm manager screen. Be careful, though, because if you double-press the Enter button, you might just also select the first option on the comm manager screen which is used to toggle the phone's radio off.

Also, keep in mind that if you alter your home screen's theme, you may find that you have gained/lost features, so like the previous poster said, you may have to navigate down an option, as opposed to simply click the enter option.

Thanks for the info. I actually did figure out last night that I lost the Comm Manager button by uploading a Homescreen editor. As soon as I removed it, the button came back. So, now I have a choice - custom homescreen, or easy access to Comm Manager. But, I found in looking around the web that holding the home button down will bring up a list of shortcuts, including Comm Mananger. So maybe I can have both worlds!

Thanks for your responses.

Maybe you can edit the custom home screen to include that option? I only read very briefly about the home screen themes, but I thought it used something like an XML file to control everything. Might be a way to accomplish what you are hoping to do?
