Heh, more like $50 less. 🙂

$150, no rebates, no data plan, if you get it from Cingular's website. Definitely a steal (as far as cell phones go).

I got mine at a Cingular Corp. store for $200 and a $100 MIR with the unlimited data plan. I signed up for the Media Maxx 200 for $20/month. That is an awesome deal considering I'm constantly streaming audio/video to my device. I've had it for like 3 days now and according to my account on Cingulars website I used like 43 megs of data already. And thats not counting my 2 hours straight of streaming radio I did today. Can't wait to see how much I use by the end of the month.

In the Cingular corp store, I told them they had the phone online for $150, no rebates. They didn't believe me, and told me to bring in a printout stating as much. I just pulled it up on one of their terminals there and showed them 🙂

Anyway, they matched it ($150, no rebates), but forced me to get a data plan to do it (lame). They said all I had to do was cancel the data plan after a month (which I am going to do, because I don't want to pay for Internet access, which is why wi-fi would have been nice on this phone).

At any rate, if you want the phone for $150* out the door, that is how you do it.

* $150 plus the $18 "upgrade" fee that Cingular charges (also lame, oh well).

Where the hell do you guys live? Every time I look on the website, the price is 149.99 after 150 in mail-in rebates. Does where you live affect the deals that are offered?

Michigan? 🙂

On the website, it is listed as $299.99 - $150.00 online discount, for a total of $149.99. In the brick and mortar stores, it is more, but as I said previously, you can show them their own price on their store (as if they don't have access to that, lame), and they will do their best to meet it (you'll most likely have to walk out with a data plan, just cancel it after month one if you don't want it, like me).

Now I am wondering what the hell is going on. When I go to the Cingular site it says the Retail is 299.99 and then it offers 2 mail-in rebates, one for 50 and one for 100. Do they make special deals for different markets?

Somebody humor me, go to the Cingy site and type in my zip code, 18901, and confirm I'm not loco. Whats your zip hexy? Maybe I can print it out and try to pull on over on a store.

Oh wow, that's awful. Yeah, I just typed in my zip, and now it is a $50 MiR and a $100 MiR. Let's see the details....

Yup, looks like it isn't just a $150 online discount anymore. You can still get $150 off, you just have to get a dataplan. My guess is that if you cancel the data plan before the rebate arrives, you won't get your rebates, so unless you hear otherwise (may want to get it in writing from an employee), looks like you'll have to keep the data plan for a bit to make this work, plus, you won't be walking out of the store with the 3125 unless you give them $300.

Seriously Cingular, way to screw your customers. This could have been a killer phone that would have brought a lot of people in. Now, it really isn't anything special...

I don't, sorry. I never printed it, I just brought the screen up on their kiosk and showed it to them. =\
