Signal Enhancers?

I love my w810 and I have no problems with it in civilization. Whenever I go to visit my husband's grandmom out in the country they have an inconsistent signal. Its either 1 bar or no bars (Cingular). Is there any type of attachment that would enhance the signal in bad areas? My husband is there often taking care of his grandmom and we were hoping to chat via the Internet, but he can't seem to keep the signal (he has an 810 too). Any ideas? 😕

There is an alleged signal booster antenna that gets marketed advertising that it'll boost your signal significantly. It actually goes inside your battery compartment. Though its probably a scam to prey on people who were dissatisfied with their signal strength, I bought and used two of them in my analog cellphone days. They usually gave me an extra fluxuating bar or two but thats about it. If you can find them for real cheap at a dollar store, you might give it a try but don't spend a lot of money in shipping charges over it. The payback may not be there.
