Resolution?

The specs say the main OLED is 128x128, but
when I email myself a 128x128 JPEG to
(mynumber)@vzwpix.com
and save it under My Pics, then select it as the wallpaper, it only fills a portion of the available area.

When I look at the Pix data for the images that came with the phone, they *all* say
160x99, yet when I save a 160x99 JPEG under My Pics, it *still* doesn't fill the available area the way the images that came with the phone do.

Any insight anyone?

TIA,

Never mind. I created a calibration JPEG. The screen is indeed 128x128, but when creating an image for use as wallpaper, only
128x99 are available. Images of any other size are scaled to fit 128x99. Furthermore, the topmost 16 rows and bottommost 17 rows are partially obscured by the semitransparent menu bars. Hence, the fully viewable area for wallpaper is 128x66.

NB: This refers to the main screen. I haven't bothered to figure out the external display.

Cheers,
