Anyone Having The 930 and Has Also Tested the LG8300?

While I am on the verge of ordering two LG 8300s - I still have a slight doubt that perhaps I should be taking a stronger look at this phone. Just wondering if anyone either (a) had the 8300 and returned it for the 930 and feels the 930 is a better phone and/or (b) tested both phones and walked awaying feeling the 930 was a better phone. While not to belabor the point, if you do feel the 930 is better - could you explain in which areas?

Thanks

No offense Mary but I know your allegiance to the LG 8300; if I remember correctly, you only tested the 930 for a day and you even admitted that you didn't run it through every possible scenario. I will probably wind up with the LG 8300 (I have the order sitting on my desk) but I just wanted to see if anyone had both phones for a week or so and felt the 930 might possibly be better.

I have the a930 but I am still unsure if I will keep it or get the lg 8300. The a930 is a very good phone. FEEL FREE TO READ MY REVIEW ON THIS PHONE!!

Mary is wrong, in my opinion. The 8300 is not far better than this phone.

The most significant differences are:

1.LG 8300 has a color outer display
2.MP3 format support (the a930 will support the files after you convert them to wma using vzw music software)
3.New customizable flash UI (user interface)

The a930 still has everything else like EVDO, microSD/transflash memory,1.3mp camera w/flash, and audio playback controls on outside

Forgot to mention, only thing I dont like is that it does feel a little cheap.. Reason why I might go with 8300 is for mp3 support and color display on outside...

I personally like the design of the a930 much better though... especially the keypad... dont really like keypad on 8300

All those things like MP3 and camera are nice to have but my primary interest is having a good phone - one that has good call clarity and loudness and good reception. For that reason I was hoping someone tested both phones for a week and had a strong opinion on which one was a better phone (as in telephone).

Well I can say that the a930 has been a very good PHONE! Call clarity is really good and the speakerphone sounds very crisp (at least in my area)

Signal is decent as well but that's usually dependant on your area...

Ok so I traded my Samsung a930 for the LG 8300

Let me just start by saying that the a930 is a good phone but what I didnt like was the cheap feel to it

I really like the LG 8300.. its thinner and feels very steardy and well-built and actually get BETTER reception than the a930... its a really nice phone and you can even change the INTERFACE... that is really cool since this is probably the only VZW phone that lets you do this to my knowledge... call clarity is great and speakers are VERY loud compared to a930...

so there you go... I've had both phones and I've put in my 2 cents for ya'...

And that's what I needed to know (although I was already convinced that the LG 8300s would be our next phone). So, I thank you very much for keeping my query in mind.
