External Display, Reception Quality, Ring/Vibrate
Hello,
Does anyone know if the external display stays on at all times? If you have missed calls or a new VM will it stay lit up to display this info or do you have to hit a button to "wake it up"?
Also does this phone have the ability to ring and vibrate at the same time?
How is the reception and audio quality on this phone? I have a Motorola v325 that I am looking to replace - is this phone as good as or better than the Moto reception-wise? I use this phone a lot in Northern VT.

The time stays lit at all times as well as signal strength and battery strength. Unfortunately the missed call, message indicator part does not. You have to hold the volume or one of the top keys about 2 seconds to light that part up.
It has VibeTonz, so far the only ringtones i can get it to vibe and ring with are the cheesy pre-installed ringtones.
Reception wise and call quality are very good. I also have a Motorola E815 and i'm not noticing any big difference at all.

Indicatiors for Missed calls, voicemails, and txt messages do not stay lit after about a min or so (maybe less). you have hold the any of the side keys to make that info show up again. I would def. prefer that it stay lit, but i don't mind it too much especially because I have the Reminders turned on. Mine is set for every 15min.

I'm in Kansas City and have noticed that the reception of the phone is quite good. And that's with me driving through a lot of rurual areas for work. I def. have not experienced ANY reception problems since I've had the phone.

You mentioned having reminders turned on - how does that work? It is a visible or audible reminder? Does it remind you of missed calls, as well as new messages?

You can set a reminder for messages/voicemail to go off once, every two minutes or every 15 minutes and it alerts you the same way as a new message.

My alert was already set for that. If you unde Settings & Tools/Phone info/Icon Glossary, it tells you the symbol for missed calls. Over the weekend that symbol was on my screen and i was trying to figure out what it meant and i found I had missed calls.

Sorry for all the questions....I'm trying to decide whether to get this phone, and one thing that bugs me is on a lot of the new phones, the external display does not remain lit to display missed calls. I like to just be able to glance at it to see my missed calls rather than having to hit a button to light it up or open the flip.
