$6 T-Mobile Web Plan (T-Zone)

Will the T-zone plan ($6) work w/the SDA? I am getting different answers from different T-mobile people! I don't want to pay $30 for the internet plan. Was told that t-zone will not work, and can not get WAP. I would really appreciate it if anyone can clarify! Thank you.

I'm almost positive that you have to have the full blown internet plan not t-zones. My friend has a Treo 600 and had to get the full blown one. If nothing else, start with the t-zones and see if you can get to everything and if not then you can add the internet plan and take off the t-zones.

I think you guys need to figure out what you want (and I'm just using "you" in the generic sense, not directed at anyone). T-zones will give you full internet access, but only where there is a t-zone (e.g. starbucks). If you want full intenet access wherever you get cell reception, then you have to get an internet plan. With this phone, I'd recommend starting with the lowest priced no-megabyte-restrictions internet plan, and then work up from there. You might find that you don't need "full" access (especially because you're never going to get a straight answer about what "full access" means that makes sense to you from some randon customer service agent or random message board poster).

T-zones is WAP. You are thinking of Hotspots.

To answer the question about about how to enable just T-zones, do it online from t-mobile.com. Select a different phone such as some random motorola phone and choose the service. You can then switch back to your device.

So I can keep T-zones on my 6800, when my SDA arrives on Thursday, do some hacking on the settings and I'll have WAP access without the fees? Too easy. I'll try it and post back

to explain the difference between t-zones, hot spots and gprs... t-zones is a wap browser, not a full Internet browser it will not give you access to alot of websites and the ones it does give access to it is a condensed version. hot spots are wifi, ie starbucks, kinko's, borders and books, and several airline clubs, fast service, but if you're not at those places often, not worth it, and several places (around here, so i'm sure elsewhere) offer free wifi. GPRS!! is what you need t-Mobile offers gprs as an add on for 19.99 gprs is the, anywhere your phone gets a signal, full Internet browser. hope i helped

It lets you use T-Zones (if you purchased that) it is the settings so you can set up manually on a non t-mobile phone or on a t-mobile phone that is not set up properly.

I got my SDA working with this, without a single problem, looks great as well.. BUT, will this let me stream media off the internet or access my music files remotely?

Please let me know.
