I got the first LEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got mine today, messed around for a couple of hours and then charged it. came home, wouldn't turn on past the verizon wireless greeting page! took the battery out, took out the memory card.... everything and still no dice. i used to sell for VZW and this one is a true lemon. just glad i didn't switch my esn yet.

Ummmm second lemon... same exact thing... thought I was the only one.. worked for 12 hours then deadsy. I tried to IR a few contacts into the Q plugged it into a Mac to charge via usb cable but that's about it.. I hope any of that didn't cause it.. but who know's they are holding another one for me.. will try round two tomorrow..

I thought it was just me...but I think you add me as number 3 on the lemon thing.
Mine has yet to turn on past Verizon logo screen and then just turns off. I am giving it until tomorrow morning on the charger to see if that makes a difference, but after reading this I doon't hold out much hope.

Seems like all you guys are getting the few defective units I can relate to that but the good thing is with that 15 day guarantee you will get a brand new unit no questions asked when you go back!!!

This is what really burns me up!!!!!!!!!!!!! VZW holds out on releasing this Q for months and months....Delays upon delays and the reason???Testing, we are testing it.....we want to make sure it works.....it is in testing.....

I had to turn mine in today (owing it less than 24hrs) for a replacement phone. Mine kept freezing up. and I could not connect to data...I kept getting Login Error.
I will give this the 15 days, but I have a funny feeling that I will be getting a Razr v3m until the next generation Treo P comes out. Rumor has it the antenna is built in and it's smaller than the Q.
I am not happy that the bluetooth kills the battery, the battery life sucks enough all by itself. I also don't like how long it takes to process and boot up, and even though the form factor is small...any available cases make it a brick again.

statistically these numbers are probably good, especially at the volume that motorola is producing these. don't get discouraged until the 2 one and get the second phone at a different store, in hopes of getting a different batch that the original store got.

I would have to agree with elec_engineer that these are good numbers. Even though I received one of the lemons, I am discouraged or angry in any way. I will simply return it for a new one. It's something we all must face because we are early adopters of the phone.

It's very true. It's just common knowledge that the first edition of anything has it's share of "qwerks" give it a week or two and then we'll see how everyone feels about it.

these numbers are probalbe not good. I'd sat less than 1% of Q purchasers read/write on this forum. Therefore already having 3 lemons is probably a high percentage. Im getting a 700w

I received it on Friday, and it broke about 15 minutes ago. It froze on me, so I shut it off. Upon turning it back on, it sat at the black and red Verizon screen for about 3 minutes. After that, wide white bars started rolling across the screen. The only way I could get it to stop was to take the battery out and put it back in, but it is still doing the same thing after multiple retrys.
