Mar 4, 2006, 12:08 AM
I am not going to defend my source. I promise you guys.....if you are waiting for the Q. You are in for a longer wait. I have gotten the Razor, V810(never was released for verizon but I have one that has verizon logos and works perfect), V710, E815 ......all from this guy 3 to 4 months before they were released by Verizon. Infarct I have the transflash version of the V3c now! He was told that the Q has been delayed by 3 months. Why I DOT know.

I am posting his emailed response to me, today.

As far as the Q, it has been pushed back 13 weeks. I will get some
when they start to ship. I am still waiting for H5's. Should be soon, I

The only response I am posting this is because I trust his judgement. Its better to k...

Given the track record on the Q (it was originally reported that it would be released around December/January '05), I'm not surprised by this news. If the device is operating so poorly that they need to delay it another 13 weeks, that's not a good sign.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the "H5" that he references in his email?

i have no idea i was going to ask him the same question, but i hope this is not delayed and if it is i am going to be really pissed off, i have been waiting for this phone ever since it was announce, and well all i have to say is W/E. for not.

but yeah what is the H5?

The Motorola H5 is that really tiny Bluetooth headset. Here's a link.

azoriankid, how long before we'll see the version of the V3c with a TransFlash slot?

Mar 6, 2006, 11:03 AM
Hopefully we won't becasue when those extra features are added to the phone it increases the size of the phone. I'd rather have a small phone then a mem slot....unless they can keep it small. All though I did hear they will come out with a razr with itunes this summer...when cingular/apples contract is up

Looks to be true....

the Motorola website used to say "expected 1Q 2006"....it now reads "expected first half 2006" ☹️

Well after much debate I have given up waiting for this phone. I ended up buying a vx6700 and couldnt be happier. Size was a concern at first compared to the Q and while bigger its not bad at all. Was always a fan of the the larger touchscreen so this PPC has everything I need.

yea ill be doing the same thing i guess at the end of April when I can upgrade. It was between this and the 6700. 6700 wins apparently.

As a VZW employee, I can tell you guys that the Q has definitely been postponed. Possible 4th Qtr. 06.

The FCC will make public photos and user's manuals on or after 4/28/06. Therefore it will probably hit the market by then.
