No doubt it's been posted before, but I can't seem to find it..

I'm awaiting arrival of my new V3i, and am wondering if there's a way of transfering the info on my current V3 (Phonebook, pictures, ringtones etc.) to my new V3i

You can but you have to tranfer your things to your computer then to your cellphone by using this CD called Motorola Phone Tools!

FYI.. The new phone came today. All I needed to do was download my phonebook entries to the SIM card. Once done, moved the SIM card over to the new phone and voila! 😁 They were all there. I then saved the entries back to the phone!

The pictures? I was told by Cingular that I'd have to buy a "cable" at Best Buy which would accomplish what I needed to do. After experimenting a bit, I was able to "bluetooth" the pictures over to the new phone by using the copy function with the bluetooth options on each phone set to "on" 😉

The ringtones I bought which are downloaded to the phone, look like they're going to remain on the old phone, as there is no way to get those files over to the new phone. 😢

why not bluetooth the tunes too ?
I'm not an expert by ANY means, but select the tune and hit "copy" then select "who to"
and, see there...? 😁
I recieved by blutooth, that great line in "Full Metal Jacket" NUMNUTS, everytime my dad calls now I hear the DI..ha
It worked in my v3 and v3i (non itune).

Gee I hope that was good advice. Now I have a question....got v3i non itune, german made was destined to be sold in russia?, now in my hands instead. Just got that 4.04 phone tools cd, but no matter what, I cannot see or go to
my 1 gb micro card. NADA, nothing. storage devices lists the phone only. 😕
