By turning off EV-DO and bluetooth (or anything else)?

Less than a day as some have quoted, would be a deal breaker for me, but I don't expect to use either except for maybe occaisional file transfers.

Is a day 24 hours of use? 24 hours of standby?
An 8 hour business day of use? 8 hours of standby?

Is that "use" just talking? standby? standby with the EVDO going?? etc.

I have no idea, you would have to check with the reviewers. But if you read the reviews here, several people mention poor battery life.

If its bad enough to need to be recharged after part of a day's use (evenheavy use), I am not interested.

Im pretty happy if I can get 3 hours of talk time out my phone but if they are watching TV, listening to MP3s, surfing the web and it dies within the day..then thats ok by me.

But if cant get through the day... then it could be a problem.

What I think makes people think the battery life is horrible is the battery meter on the phone. The meter itself is a bit buggy. in 5 mins it'll jump down to two bars then back up to 3 and it kinda fluctuates throughout the day, but the phone itself holds a decent charge. I bet if all the reviewers actually ran the phone down instead of just relying on the meter they might be more satisfied wtih the battery life. Dont' get me wrong I really hate the battery meter being off. I've had it show one bar for an hour then I use the phone go on the internet and all of a sudden I have 2 bars again. We...

Today I used the phone at a moderate to heavy level only by using it for calls & a few texts w/ light Vision usage. Over an 8 hour period of time, I'm down to the last bar. Hope that helps, but it's still early to tell exactly how the battery will hold up.

Set your roaming to Sprint only, change your backlight and keypad to 8 seconds, unless you are using it, turn the bluetooth off. It should help some but the battery leaves much to be desired.
