I currently have a 512 MB transflash and I was thinking of getting a 1 GB transflash. I was searching on ebay and I notice there was a 2 GB transflsh about to come out. Does anyone know if this will work with the t809? Thanks.

Hello all, I unfortunately purchased the 2GB MircoSD Flash Memory and it DOES NOT work with the SGH-t809.

I just spent an hour and a half a T-Mobile, they ended up calling Samsung and they told me that the phone can only take up to a 512MB Memory Card. xdavisvonx, you said that you have a 1GB memory card in your phone, it's an SGH-t809 right? Let me know, because now I have to return it and figure out what to do.

When I put the 2GB memory in it says "Not Allowed!" but when the girl at T-Mobile put it in her phone which was another kind of Samsung, it recognized it. She tried the card in other t-809s in the store but none of them recognized the card.

Does anyone have any info on this situation???

Any response would be appre...

They are wrong. This phone can support 1gb. It works fine for me and I have heard of many others using it just fine. You are the second that I've heard that 2gb doesn't work for. Weird that it can't handle it.

I have a gig chip and it works fine.

and as far as your phone saying "card can not be reconized"
well...this is my theory:
-your phone formats the chip when you put it in
-so when you allowed the person at t mo to test your chip. their phone tried to add other folders/ custumize the chip for that phone. which is why it will not be reconized in your phone.
-that is what happen to me when i let my roommate test my gig chip in his new non t809 phone.
-so i had to buy a card reader to hook up to my computer to formatt the card and it worked fine
