last night the telenav site was updated with a version for the PPC-6700!!! the only catch is that it still needs a bluetooth gps receiver to work it. I was wondering if anybody has a way to get the hacked built in GPS on the phone to work, or if i will actually need to buy the $89 receiever to make it all work?

Hi ! Telenav should be able to use the built in GPS receiver in the phone to retrieve your longitude / latitude and plot it on a map (which is what it is designed to do). I will do some checking on this tomorrow to verify that you do NOT indeed need an external GPS receiver. Stay tuned 🙂

Taubut,
I stand corrected. You DO need a bluetooth enabled GPS transceiver for the 6700 to use the Telenav software. I am looking into an alternative way of getting the info. The phone itself has a GPS built in for E911 purposes. I don't see why we cant pull the Lat/Long from that unit. Stay tuned for an update 🙂
