if you've used it to stream music and as an mp3 player...

I can't imagine carrying more than 1 gigabyte of music around, so assuming you load up a 1GB SD card, would you be happy using the 6700 as an mp3 player?

As usual with me, any feedback would be appreciated.

Ok, I will try to answer all your questions here. First, as far as email. It goes through outlook. I use pop3 to check my optonline email while away from my pc. It is its own mail program. It does not run through your browser.
The 6700 comes with Pocket Internet Explorer. As far as viewing sites. There are three options. There is one column, which you will only have to scroll up and down to view. It is my favorite by far and the easiest to read. Then there is defualt and desktop. Both require side scrolling. There is also different amounts of zoom for text size. There is about 5 different size options to use. All are very readable. PIE goes to alot of sites but no all. There is a registry hack to make it look like you are using a regular...

Thanks for the response Eric, I mainly check my Google gmail account and am sure I can get it to scroll properly based on the options you've described.

I am kind of justifying the cost based on its ability to be an mp3 player. I'm wondering:

-if it uses something like Windows Media player or what you are using to listen to MP3s?

-What info is displayed when music is playing?

-Any feedback or suggestions on using it to play through a list or folder of music,

-anyone running with it? Do you clip it in the original case to your waist or??? to reduce it's bouncing around (seems big to run with).

-battery time playing music non-stop (close to 4 hours, 2 hours, etc.)

THANKS IN ADVANCE for feedback.

As far as playing mp3's.....It comes with WMP10. It's ok......But you can add other players to it. There is a free one called TCPMP. It is good for video and music. Also has an equalizer. On my 6600 I used a program called Imusic. It had a 10 band graphic eq. Havent tried it on my 6700 yet. Also used one called pocket music. Great player also. These players are on par with ipods.....If they arent supported on WM5 yet, you can bet they will be.......As far as battery time. Havent tested it yet. Wouldnt know if I would run with it.

The battery life will differ with the antennas you have running.. i.e. bluetooth/wifi.. If your just using the standard CDMA antenna it will last at least five hours playing music... I use it all the time with TCPMP.... Works awesome.. Pocket Music isn't really compatible with wm5 yet, so just wait for the update. As far as windows media 10, it's okay.. I use TCPMP more... The quality isn't too bad, but the phone speaker isn't too great sounding, could be louder.. It would be awesome if it had the quaility of the ROKR.. THAT would be awesome! I am very rarley impressed with other carrier phones.. But I still wouldn't change my 6700.. DL
