Crippled Bluetooth?

Nov 4, 2005, 12:33 AM
It says it has BT, but it supports Headset and Handsfree profiles.
This is the same thing the VZW phones say under BT...
Anyone know if Cingular is following the steps of VZW??? 👿 That'd be the last straw.

It is crippled in one way: It doesn't have the dial up networking protocol (according to a discussion I had with Samsung tier 2 tech support).

I tried to get the D357 to connect to my car's UConnect system. It dialled the phone and blinked indicating a connection, but the audio wasn't carried over the speakers or microphone.

It is crippled.

I did a discovery of my d357 on my laptop and it states that the profiles included are:

OPP- sends business cards between phone and pc(?)

It is NOT crippled, there are occasionally pairing issues with car kits.
