Verizon network doesn't support MEGAPIXEL phones ?!?!

Just got back from vacation and started uploading pics from my V3c to my PC via the verizon network. (I use a regular digital camera for most vacation pics, but when it is not handy I do use my phone sometimes)

Can you imagine my surprise when I found out that about 20% of my pictures won't upload because they are "too big"? I take all my pics at the maximum resolution (1280 x 1024) because that is the size of my PC monitor, so they make good wallpaper or slideshow images.

After some online research I found out that Verizon has a size limit of 300Kb for Pix messages on their network. Since the pictures are JPG encoded, their file size will change depending the content of the picture This means that a 1Mpixel picture can possibly ex...

Yes. And you're correct. There is a limit of the picture size that can be sent via 'the network.' I went to a renaissance festival and took a lot of pictures. I was unable to send a maybe 1/5 of them. 🙄
