You have got to be kidding on some of these reviews

I happened to read the review from Mary and I had to write back with my say on this.

To Mary...I love the 8100 as much as you do but it's con's outweigh the pro's. The speakerphone is worthless on the 8100 and the call volume bug does indeed exist. Either some users have the ears of an Owl or a good portion of users are death or going death. Bluetooth on the 8100 is useless.

To say that the razor is poorly built is not an accurate statement. For the size of the phone, it's built like a rock. The call quality and clarity is huge over the 8100( most users will agree). The speakerphone is better on the razor. Voice dialing on a razor is superior then the 8100. RF is a slam dunk over the 8100. Mary, I understand that you love the...

I don't get it either. My phone is rock solid, with no problems whatsoever. I am in Colorado and I know seven people that have purchased the phone and none of them are having any problems at all. Maybe this whole keypad issue is isolated to one specific batch in a certain part of the country.

This is the best phone I have owned to date.

I'm beginning to think the same. I ordered online - very loose. Exchanged at a story in midtown less flimsy, but alittle loose. I'm going to try a different store. Hopefully, I'll luck out.

You don't have to agree with my thoughts/experience/review of the RAZR, but it doesn't mean it's wrong! First of all I don't have volume problems with my 8100 and BT is excellent and I'm not going "death" (as you put it) nor am I going DEAF!
I have every right to post a review that is honest and accurate about my experience with the RAZR. I stated exactly what I found to be cons. Your response to my review is just plain nonsense. Obviously you think the RAZR is the best, and that's great, post an excellent review. That's your right, just as it is mine to post what I did.

I completely agree with Mary. Her review is based on her experience with the RAZR unit she received. It is quite ...

Mary, you took my response the wrong way. This was not an attack on you. It was a response to everyone that puts up a review. Do you ever wonder why this forum is considered a joke over at Howards? Believe or not, the majority of the information in this forum comes from Howards. Lets put that to the side and go on with my thoughts. It's pretty obvious that you love your 8100 and nothing will change your mind on that. I am happy for you. I loved mine when I had it. In the end though, the cons were driving me nuts! I tried at least 7 of them and they all had the same problems. I live in California and my friends in Tenn, Boston and Seattle all experienced the issues that I mention and that others have mentioned in this forum. To test ...

I have to agree with Mary on her view of the razr. I know to many people that have tried the razr and has already returned it, because of the same issues that Mary has stated. We are all entitled to our opinion and that is what this forum is all about. Also my roommate has the LG 8100 and just loves it.

The only issue I have with my razr is that when you go to the mobile web or get it now when you sign out the minutes seems to mount up until you power the phone off if it is a software issue I am sure Verizon will fix it but not enough for me to return it for another style. I love this phone

Mary i am with you, i have had 0 reception or volume or bluettooth issues with my 8100, i tried the razor just because i love the way it looks, but no expandable memory, no flash, terrible external dispaly, poor battery life, and I didn't like the keypad. My bluetooth headset worked equally well on my 8100, i also felt my 8100 speaker phone was much more clear. I just feel for the rediculous price tag slapped on the razor some of this stuff should have been up to par, especially the outside display that is useless. The phone is cool, but i liked my 200 dollars in my wallet and the features(mainly outside display) better on my 8100 so that is what i am sticking with.

At the end of the day, I think you will see what I am talking about. I am not here to start the comparison test all over again. To childish! For those of you who claim that bluetooth works great, I would love a call from you. I would love to hear how you sound on your speakerphone. Please, don't ignore this, I am not kidding. We can go on forever on which is best but never agree on one certain model. Thats the beauty of it all. The razor has a higher average already in such a short period compared to the 8100. In 3 months, it will hold around a 3.75 or higher. The 8100 even with the patches, will hold around 3.5.

are you serious? I am not calling you, i do not need confirmation that my phone is great, i use 5000 minutes a month on it and have never dropped a call or had a complaint on the other end. I never said the razor was crap so don't get all defensive, i am just stating for the price it was lacking and the quality did not justify me paying out the ass to replace my 8100 that has been good to me. With that many minutes i need something comfortable in my hand and has a good battery life, the razor has neither. Plus i would miss my expandable memory, i am one of those people that actually uses the mp3 player on my 8100. I also use the camera a lot and the razor camera was lacking and had no flash, i actually perferred putting up with the small lag...

I was thinking of getting the Razr but when I went into the verizon store and actually had it in my hand, I felt the quality of the phone was cheap looking. The rep that was helping me advised me against purchasing the razr. There are definitely better quality phones out there...JMHO

I just got through reading some of the negative reviews and some of them that are having issues I am not having that problem. So it leaves me to believe that they get the phone, does not work as expected and before exchanging it for another they come and post negative reviews on a defective phone rather then get a new one, see if the problem is consistant and then post. I guess some people are too quick to give their .02 cents before fully looking into their problem and trying to solve it.

You are so right on. When I hear of someone going into a store and holding it, then coming out with something else, I have to shake my head. The bottom line is that there users who are quick to make a judgement when something doesn't meet their expectations. What I don't understand is this..how in blazes can someone not care about call quality on both ends? How can someone ignore a bad speakerphone on the end user? How can someone ignore the fact that when using bluetooth, the end user hears echoing? It's this kind of stuff that just drives me nuts! I sure hope there are users in here who will take me up on my offer to hear their calls with bluetooth being on as well as test their speakerphone.

the average consumer is an ignorant moron, but they seem to post all their comments all over the internet. i work for cingular (but, have verizon for personal use) and people walk in here with consumer reports magazines looking at phones, i just laugh. those reviews are biased and not full reviews by educated people. they rated a cingular lg as the best gsm phone buy. gsm lgs have the absolute worst reception and reliability, next to samsung. this however doesn't seem to be the trend with thier cdma phones. if you want to buy stuff, read some reviews, but don't rely soley on them. hands on 15 day return policy, just go through everything in the menu, drive around to places where your old phone cut out and check out how the new one works, wea...
