Mislead?

I have a quick question for everyone, other than a few minor bugs that come with a brand new phone coming to market, has anyone been mislead about what this phone will and won't do?

I bought the phone knowing it had the Verizon UI. I would have been shocked if Bluetooth wasn't crippled at all. As it stands right now, I am pleasantly surprised at how much the Bluetooth will actually do. It talks to my Mac without any problems. I don't need to sync my contacts because I use Back-up Assistant for that. Knowing how small the phone, and as a result the battery is, I knew that it wouldn't last as long as bigger phones. You have to pay for ringtones and wallpaper, but that's nothing new, and I am also thinking that 90% of Verizon customers ...

You have to pay for ringtones and wallpaper. Just download any of the free ones and drag them right into my Bluetooth Places and they are there on your phone.

Without taking it out of your pocket.

So then why is everyone complaining about how greedy Verizon is?

I am somewhat disappointed. I see some companies offering to sell this phone for $99 but US-Cellular and Verizon want $200 for it.
Are they ripping us off?
Or are those $99 prices a fraud and ripoff?
There seem to be a lot of quality problems like buzzing noise and loose panels and poor battery response.
In regards to the battery issue I am disappointed that using BT will drain it in a day
I have to agree that those who complain about no flash are not realistic - com-on its a phone!- although I did read on phonescoop about a year ago about a new flash led that was supposesed to be available for phone cameras - so where is it now? Generaly though if you want a great picture get a real camera!
I haven't bought one yet and am having...

I paid $99 for mine. There is a $100.00 mail in rebate and I used my New Every 2 $100 discount as well. It's my guess that the other companies that are offering it for $99.00 have much the same discounts. In addition to that, I am sure that phones like the Razr have been a way for the phone companies that are lacking in the coverage area to keep customers. Now that Verizon has the phone, they're scared that they will lose these people to a carrier with better coverage.

As for the quality problems, I think it goes hand in hand with the fact that it's a brand new phone and: 1) people that have it right now, are hardcore users and more vocal about the issues, and 2) it's a new phone. I got the 710 when it came out, and I went through fo...

I personally chose to stay with my 8100 instead of getting the Razr because it has so much more, but I still like it and am considering it for a possible second phone. I just get pissed when I read the reviews or comments about this phone and the things people are complaining about are things they were never promised! They knew how much it cost before they bought it, knew what it had and didn't have, etc. So don't get it knowing that then complain that it sucks because it's lacking such and such!!!!!!!!!!! You know what I mean?

That's exactly what I ahve been saying. Don't go out and buy a mercedes or lexus and then complain to the world that you can't take it off roading. If four wheel drive is important you to, look for the cars/trucks that have it. If MP3's are important to you, look for a phone that has a player and stop complaining that this one doesn't have it.

Mislead? If you are a VW customer, you definitely were not mislead. Verizon advertised just what the phone could do or at least what they would allow it to do. In this forum, there are many people comparing the V3c to the V3. The V3c is a different VERSION of the RAZR. Each phone has something the other doesn't. If you bought Verizon's V3c, you knew exactly what to expect. However, there were many customers looking to get more out of the phone than promised.

I paid $104 and got mine in the mail yesterday. I am disappointed in the phone, but not because of what I can't do with it. Mine has a lot of the "new phone bugs" that I've read complaints about. Not only that but the quality of pictures, video, and the speakerphone and it...

To me, this is the kind of feedback this site should be about. You're information would be very helpful to someone.

When you are looking for a new phone you look at the features it has and make a decision. You don't look at the features and start complaining about what it doesn't have. You can't have it all

Thanks,

WIH
