ANYONE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH SCREEN SAVER?

MY SCREEN SAVER GOES TO A BLANK SCREEN RATHER THAN ANY PICTURE I CHOOSE. I SET THE DELAY TO ONE MINUTE. I EVEN TURNER THE BATTERY SAVER OFF. ALSO TRIED IT ON TWO PHONES IN A VERIZON STORE. SAME PROBLEM.

This may seem like a stupid question, but why do we need screen savers, wouldn't it be easier for the screen to just go dark?

NOT A STUPID QUESTION AT ALL. ALTHOUGH HAVING IT GO DARK IS BETTER FOR THE BATTERY LIFE, THE FACT THAT A SCREENSAVER FEATURE IS BEING OFFERED, IT SHOULD AT LEAST WORK?

I'd really like to be able to look at the call details when I'm on the phone, but it just goes dark.....

I'd also like for the buttons to stay lit up, but I'm apalled at the battery life already.

Probably taking the phone back...

I never found a screen saver on a phone useful. I don't have time to look at the phone that long. Going black sounds good to me.
