I bought mine at a Verizon store and have successfully paired it with my Powerbook. As far as what OBEX is, I am not sure the extent of the ability to exchange files, but I have successfully moved pictures from my Mac to my phone using the built in Bluetooth File Exchange program. Thanks again Kevin, much appreciated.

Glad I could help with the phone and your PowerBook.
Thanks again.
I did put it on my wife and son's phone as well as mine of course. For me, its peace of mind if I lose my phone or have to change units quickly.
All the best, Scott
When entering the number, after you have entered one or more digits, look at "options" on the right soft key. I think it is option 3, insert pause.
