I finally received my phone. I ordered it the day of the release, the order was processed last night, and I received it this afternoon. Some NYC VZW had them in stock the day after the online release, so my sister purchased hers day. I was very excited to receive the phone especially after playing around with hers. However, there is something I didn't notice until now, and I am hoping it's just a defect on this particular phone.

The KEYPAD - it seems alittle loose on the top part. For those of you who own this model, did you notice that too? Is this just a defective phone?

This phone is an upgrade from the Motorola T730. I've obviously been very accomdated to it, since I've been using it for 2+ years.

Edit: Speed dial is a poor wording. What I meant was having the Phonebook Setup by a Speed #. RAZR/ generic VZW UI has a contact list with Speed dails though, and the general contact list.

my keypad isnt loose...its kind of flexible because its a thin sheet of metal...dont worry they keys will work fine...undernieth the thin metal is the actual keypad assembly glued down to the frame of the phone

Mine is a little loose on the top right also. I went back to the store and looked at the floor model and it was the same way. My rep then pulled a few out of the back and they were also that way so I guess that is how they are built. Then again...I always carry the insurance just in case!

Thank you rob. I guess I should head into the store just to get piece of mind. On a different note, how's you speakerphone been treating you? Are you experiencing any choppiness?

Mine is not loose, just to answer that question. Sorry to say that maybe you should exchange for another one?

On the same topic: Is there ANY way to change the settings so that the Keypad lights are always on? When I'm in the dark, I need to be able to continue to use the buttons for commands like in voicemail, and I really liked how my last button had options for the kaypad in the settings menu....

THANKS!

I'm not too sure, salt. If you haven't already, turn the "Battery Save" off. However, this may also keep the external LCD constantly on.
