Sony Ericsson Z520 / Z525
Unable to send pics or files via IR?
I know some of the other Sony Ericsson phones have the ability to send pics via infrared to say... a cannon printer (friends SE phone actually has a "send via bluetooth or IR" option when sending pics). now im wondering is this cingular's doing by blocking features with their software, or was the z520 never intended to have that capability to begin with?

i used it on mine and it worked awesome. saves me the trouble of buying usb device. used it to import .wab book from outlookexpress. make sure you download the pc sych software from sony ericsson.

Ditto. I am a Palm user and I keep my contacts there. When I want to transfer a contact over to the phone, I make sure the IR is turned on, then I beam it over. I also had great success with the PC software. So, I assume it is the interface to a printer is something that they didn't test. I suggest you grab your photos (copy, not cut) from your camera with the PC software and print them from the PC. I stressed copy because cut/delete requires manual confirmation on the phone for each file-- a pain it you are moving 20 pics. Go to www.sonyericsson.com for the software.
