Sep 28, 2005, 10:20 PM
Phones that cant take pics in the dark are useless so does this phone have a flash or something for the dark?

There's really no phones with true flash on them, except maybe overseas. And those stupid LED lights dont do a damn thing, they're useless!

Unless you're taking a picture of something 1 foot away from you at night, that LED isnt going to do a damn thing. Although Sony Ericsson does have decent camera on their phones. I can take pictures at night with my S710a, though not the best clarity, its good for a 1.3 Megapixel. I cant say the Z520 will be the same considering its only a VGA camera, you'll just have to wait and try out a live model for yourself.

I'm rather impressed with that photo. I'd assumed ALL phone cameras were worthless gimmicks.

Definitely anyone who wants quality photos should get a separate camera. The Cannon SD series is tiny. My SD300 is no bigger than my SE T68 phone. Even together, they're smaller than many phones.

Ultimately you will have to wait for the phone to be released and take pics at night to see how well they come out.(not too good I suspect)
