Speaker Independent Voice...Is that a fancy term for voice dialing?

Speaker-independent is a type of voice dialing. It means it will recognize anyone's voice against any text without training, so your whole phone book is automatically available for voice dialing.

With the older type - speaker-dependent voice dialing - you have to train your phone for each name or command. It will only recognize the names you've trained, and usually only for your voice.

That's awesome! Old school voice dialing is (most of the time) a pain!

spaker phone??

The only problem is speaker-independent voice dialing doesn't work - it consistently mis-dials or can't even get close the right name.
