yea im thinking about getting this phone based on its great features/reviews. The only thing i dont like about this phone is... the color haha can u get different face plates to change the colors? if so what colors?

and no sorry it doesn't come in silver.
it comes in orange. and if its cingular branded in the box is also an included blue cover and battery backing. but check out that website. it even allows you to put your own picture and graphics on it if you want 😎

on the sony ericcson website, it said it comes in orange, blue, or white. Can you get a white one from cingular?

no. none of the cingular stores i've visited have the white. you may wanna call around. white may be what is sent with the 550i one branded for vodafone.

ok well i found out therea re many different color face plates that u can buy off of ebay or other websites. does anyone know if these facepaltes just go over the orange part? or do you have to take the orange part out then put the face plate on?

yep i have orchid white.
i've had it for a bout more than 3months now (face plate) it looks great. there are about 4ppl who has the same phone but they all use navy. and they all ask me if where i got the face plate cuz its so cute haha
i get them at ebay for about 7 dollars including shipping. they have variety of colors. hope it helped u ^^
