Sony Ericsson W600i / W550i
Bought W550i on Oct. 8th
Just to let you know, I did a LOT of debating on which phone...the ROKR, the 550i and the 800i. True is in not quite as loaded as the 800, the 550 i bought is amazing. It has a mpeg viewer, but limited to the 256 shared onboard memory. Given with my phone new, it still had 232 free, so you can load some short clips on it. The three speakers are designed to recreate a surround sound, and it does make the sound a little fuller. I mean coming from something smaller than a deck of cards what can you expect. All in all, I am happy with my decision, but only wish they would have included a mem stick slot or at least upped it to 512 of internal.

You were in the same situation I am in. Im am torn between the w600 or the ROKR. I had a chance to play with the ROKR, and the speakers are very loud. Do you think the w600 is louder?

Yes the ROKR is loud and uses itunes, if you want that kinda music player. I was always anti Mac itunes craze/ipod, blah, blah, blah. I keep finding new a neat things with the w550/w600. As far as sound quality, since sony is a bit smaller, the three speakers it has sound crisp and it does get loud. I think the lows are pretty damn good too.Also, there is an EQ to adjust between preset BASS, MEGA BASS, Voice, treble Boost, normal, and custom(5 band ), also stereo widening. There is also a hot key for the walkman and also in start up you can select only walkman....traveling in air. In my opinion, I KNOW sony knows how to build portable audio, mp3 player, mobile phone, tiny speakers that sound good. Moto.....well they got itunes and mob...

Yes it is, I own both and I just GAVE the rokr that aint roking away!. When I am at home I use my BOSE headsets to truly enjoy my music.

What does it mean "no CARRIER?" What carrier does it come with? if it doesn't than how does it get service?

A Little smaller, but you get a lot of functionality. Get a motorola Razr get a phone Get a W 600 get a whole hell of alot. So deal with the size!

i think that weird loop at the top is fm radio antenna the phones antenna.
i know in the se 520 that loop is the guad band antenna for the phone.
