CINGULAR!!!!! 👿

I've called several stores in Los Angeles...none of them have it in yet (or know what it is for that matter).

One of the stores I went to said it may not be in stores before the first of the year. But most people don't think store reps know what they're talking about.

My experience has always been that they know very little about their service/products, but they can sign you up for a new account in less than 10 minutes.

we don't all take the time to investigate future products, and that's not really that surprising. Think about it: if you sell one carrier, 90% of the news/phones/gossip doesn't even directly apply to your sales, If you sell many carriers you have a lot to investigate.

I have to admit, i'm a blog troll.

Anyway, we don't have this one in stores yet, and i'm not sure when we will. I bet we'll see it before the holidays.

My comment wasn't necessarily a knock at all Cingular employees, but it really has been my experience that the sales people aren't that understanding of their own product. I'm definitely not the typical user, but I was sold my MPx220 with the salesperson telling me it had WiFi (I knew better).

This phone isn't a future product either...it is on the Cingular website as a current product. I certainly have advanced needs in my phones and the fact that I'm a registered user on this site makes me cellphone-nerdier than the majority (my girlfriend says I have a cellphone internet porn problem). I just wish there were better in-person resources (and demo products) for cell phones.

You should be able to demo/play with any phone at a company owned Cingular store(not all agents are set up this way).

If it is not on their live bar/wall, they can throw a demo sim in one for you.

cblackman, I've been calling my local Cingular stores every day asking if this phone is in, and they still don't have it. Did you order it online or what? I'm getting pretty impatient.

Company owned stores don't carry all the phones that are available in the Cingular warehouse. It is determined on a market level which phones will be carried in the store based on inventory turns, price of unit, projected sales, etc.
This phone will be a special order piece for most markets and store orders will not be auto generated. It IS available in the Memphis warehouse and can be ordered by a store @ any time.
