Camera/Camcorder

I try to open it up and it says camera operating but it never lets me take a picture or video. If I push the camera button a second time it makes the phone start up as if it were off. Any suggestions or has this happened to anyone else?

How long have you had this phone? It sounds like it might be a warranty issue.
