Is there any way to reset the phone so that all contacts are erased ? I am trying to erase all the contacts stored in this phone.

Yes, go to security, enter your password (should be the last 4 of your cell number, unless you have changed it), then there is an option to "erase contacts".

Nope that doesnt work. It gives an option to reset the phone but when you select it it says it will erase all settings except the contacts.
