how many times did this phone get redone? how many times was this phone re-released? how many different versions of this phone are there? i also believe i have im guessing the first model

2 as far as I am aware...original played MP3's directly. New version only plays WMA's. New firmware is a950 yk24. I don't remember the original, but it was yk (something much smaller than 24). 😕

BTW, to check firmware version...

Menu...Settings&Tools...#5 system...#1 Device info...#2 SW version. The firmware is the first line... for example "Software V. a950.YK24"
