Messengers for a950 - Verizon Wireless
Hey everyone, I was wondering if you're able to download AIM and Yahoo messenger and use them on the Samsung a950 phone through Verizon Wireless. My fiance is interested in getting this phone, but before he buys it I wanted to know this, so I could let him know. Thanks!

The phone come pre-loaded with Yahoo, AIM and MSN Messenger. It's under the messeges section labeled as mobile IM

Don't fall into the same trap I did...
I subscribed to the VCast service for $14.99 to get the unlimmited internet access and use the AIM or Yahoo Messengers to text my gf, supposingly for free since she has SPRINT with unlimitted internet also.
After talking to customer service I have since found out that any messages sent through Mobile IM (AIM, Yahoo Messenger, or MSN Messenger)are charged as text messages (charged as outside the IN network text messages as well). So my dreams of texting for free through the unlimitted internet service were foiled!
It's a nice feature but oh well, VERIZON WIRELESS strikes again!!
