Well, I don't use Bitpim for my 950 because it is not supported by Bitpim yet (which is obviously why we use the e-mail method), but I still go to the ringer section on Bitpim, add my ringtones, which then gives me the option to crop them down to 30 seconds or whatever you choose. I then drag them back to my desktop to e-mail them to my 950. I'm sure there are other programs to do this, but it works fine for me so I haven't looked any further. If your interested in that, here is the link to download Bitpim:

Mary,

I have the a950, a 512MB card, and BitPim.

I don't have a USB cable yet.

Is there a way to use BitPim to modify the soundfiles then dump them on the card and get them to show up on the phone?

I've created a ringtone in BitPim and it says it's an .mp3 file. I can't get it to show up on my phone.

How do you crop them once you add them to the ringer section in Bitpim? It doesn't give me that option.

I have tried doing this but the bitpim files are saved as .pmd files and the phone will not allow me to save the file format because it is not supported. What am I doing wrong?
