Blurry video and photos
Anybody have trouble with blurry photos and video? I used a 970 today and it acts like the auto focus is not working. Most pictures are blurry. It goes into focus on the viewing screen and then quickly out of focus and will not go back to clear. Then it takes the picture. There seems to be no way to make it focus properly. Weird!

Do you have AF turned on? If so are you pressing to the first detent on the camera button? It also has a couple different metering modes that might have some influence on the auto focus. Check those to see if it's average or spot. AF does cause more lag.
I have found that in low light situations the zoom focus is much more difficult and needs some contrasting edges to actually grab a good focus.
If you listen you can hear the AF servo stop when it's focus is fixed. Maybe you are shooting before it has settled. I have noticed that when you zoom in the focus is tight and then blurs before it comes in again.
There are rumors of newer software. Maybe some of this stuff is more dialed in.
