I am actually interested to see this phone. I still have the 6000 and am in need of an upgrade. the E815 just doesnt have the quality i want the and the 8100 has way to many functions that are disabled and it is god damn blue!!! I like that this phone is smaller than the 6000 but i wont get my hopes up to much till i see it.

I am actually very interested in the vx5200. I need one of my phones to be a tri-mode as I work in remote locations, and I would like to have a speakerphone. I currently have the 6000, which I love, and the 4400 for my analog back up.

I got the vx8100 for my fiancee, and although she likes it, the unchangeable red status and menu bars absolutely wash out both displays, and totally ruins the pictures. It comes with only 10 built in ringers, and, as someone else mentioned, many of the phones other features are disabled.

I tried the v710 last year, and sold it on eBay after one week. It was also a much anticipated phone that fell dreadfully short of my expectations. What a disappointment. I like my 6000 so much better than any phone...

red bars?? If you referring to the menu system on the 8100 I have some really bad news for you 😢 Verizon is mandating that all manufatures use the same menu system on all the new phones, and guess what it is just like the 8100.

True, VZW is pushing their common user interface onto all new phones... however, the VX-5200 and the soon to be released Samsung a970 will allow you to change the color of the red bars. 😉
