1) Im looking at this phone, and the Q phone. Is this phone considered a smartphone? Does it run the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system?

2) Ill be using this as a pda - how are the calendar and task functions? Can 3rd party calendar applications be installed on this phone?

Thanks

This phone is not a smartphone at all. This phone is simply a cell/media phone with a qwerty keyboard. The only advanced "business like" features are the ability to sync Email with a Pay service through Verizon.
The calendar is great for a cell phone, but very limited compared to a palm or windows based pda phone. You can not install 3rd party software on this phone, all applications are proprietary, and purchased through Verizon's "Get It Now" Brew application downloader. 😕
Hope this helps. 🙂

ok thanks, Ill probably go with either the Q phone or the Treo, since Ill need more advanced pda functionality, but I do like the keyboard on this phone.
