Menu screen
questions for you.....First i was playing w/ this phone y'day and i had the clam shut and was trying to set the ringer to vibrate and i couldnt find the option, then i opnend it up and realized the front screen was only showing 2 options and i had to open up the inside screen to see the remaining. Is this correct? In other words to see the full menu options do you have to have the phone open? Also is there a vibrate and/or ring function or only a vibrate?
Thanks

the external screen shows most of the options, but not all. like any good flip phone, the clam needs to open up for full features.
on external keypad press and hold * and the phone will switch in or out of vibrate.
on internal pad press and hold Z for the same task.
no way this phone can be appreciated in a few hours or few days of use, let alone few minutes. it is feature packed!!!!

Also, if you just want to reduce the volume of the ring you just unlock the keypad and use the keys on the side. That will change it through the ringing options.

yeah does the ring come out of those big speakers even when the phone is closed? i would think that it would make the ring sound a little distorted? right? or is there another speaker where the ringer is heard?

The ring doesn't come out of the inside speakers at all unless the phone is open. The ring works like any other candy bar style phone when it is closed. It is clear and suprisingly clear when the volume is turned all the way up on the ringer.
