I have songs on the miniSD card I used with the Sanyo MM-5600.
I took the card out and put it into this new phone.
But now when I try to play them on the VX-9800 it says there are none on my card.
Could anyone show me how to play them on the VX-9800? I love this phone!

You have to remove the files on the card, format it, stick into the 9800, let the 9800 put its folders on it, and then transfer the files back.

You put the memory card (along with the little adapter holder) into your memory card reader...usually this is a USB device that you connect to your PC. Once its in the reader the computer mounts it as a standard hard drive, right click on it, choose Format, set it to FAT32 or FAT and in seconds it is done.

Once you stick it back into your phone, open your phone up, go into the menu, choose Settings & Tools, choose (5) system, then choose (4) manage memory, then (1) save options. From there set your PIX, FLIX, and/or Sounds to your card and it will set up the folders as needed. Once ...

you can actually format the mini sd on the 9800 by doing the following:

Insert mini sd into phone then go to

Menu [ok]
settings and tools
System [ok]
manage memory [ok]
card memory [ok]
press options [right softkey]
scroll to format, press ok

This gives you folders to put mp3s, pix, video, songs. You then can transfer mp3s to the folder for mp3, pix, video etc. Most mini sd comes with sd card you slide the mini sd into. you can get a sd card reader for computer if you do not have one built in. Newer computers and laptops have bulit in sd card reader which is helpful for downloading to card.

It says enter a lock code, just hit enter or OK and see if it goes away. If not, try 0000 (zeros) or the last four of your phone number.
