Motorola PEBL U6
U6???
They changed the name just last week. Not all Motorola pages have been updated yet. Of the ones that have, many now just say "PEBL" where it used to say "PEBL V6", but this one has the full model name:

Is it a typo on the Motorola site maybe? Why on Earth would they go with U? it doesn't make any sense.

It's not a typo. I confirmed it with an official Motorola spokesperson before publishing anything.

They also change the name of the SLVR from "V8" to "L7" (Eh? like the band?)

No clue as to why the SLVR switched to L7 but maybe they switched the PEBL to U6 because the letter "U" is more shaped like the phone. Far-fetched? Maybe, but its just a thought. And maybe if you use your imagination L7 becomes a box, like the SLVR is shaped. And RAZR V3? Well it is a folder phone with a razor-edge...the bottom of the V could be seen like that and the rest of it could represent the folding part...I don't know, just some thoughts...

or U for "Unexplainably Sweet"? or maybe "Use speakerphone? Not with this one you won't" or perhaps "Understand the GPRS class ten is really a lot cooler than EDGE, even though it's not as powerful."

Rich- From this article you posted it list the PEBL as having EDGE, but on the info you've listed on this site it stats GPRS class 10. Is the EDGE version for overseas?

Rich- From this article you posted it list the PEBL as having EDGE, but on the info you've listed on this site it stats GPRS class 10. Is the EDGE version for overseas?
