using 6682 as a modem

Can the 6682 be used as a modem to connect a laptop to your home computer's dialup ISP and not use Cingular's Internet service? I have tried to do it with my Motorola V551 but never could figure out how to do it.

No it cannot. You would have to use Cingular's internet service, MediaNet, which is 19.99 unlimited.
