Hells bells I spent over 45 min trying to place the order. Just what number did you guys call to place an order?, cause after being told it was not available, then it was available and would cost 699.00!!!! then convincing them that it was selling for $299 they transfered me to customer service to complete the order where customer service swore the phone was not available or on there system, despite my information I shared with they about. Geeeeez! 🙄

Heree's the deal:

I called Cingular. I spoke with customer service, AND New Sales, as well as their ATT Wireless migration department. Nobody's got it. I told them what I learned on phonescoop, and it's a no-go. They suggested I contact Nokia directly.

I called Nokia directly and they refer all new phone sales to www.letstalk.com. Couldn't find it there, so I called letstalk.com. The Rep said it wasn't available, it would only be available through Cingular stores.

So, here we are...back to the beginning. I'm really curious now about the earlier posts of you guys buying the phone.

I'm a Cingular dealer and we ordered it. We were a blue dealer before and we still use OneLink to order phones. If you need a SKU I'll be more then happy to give it to ya.

I ordered mine this morning!! YEA! Not cheap that is for sure. Was $349 for two year. Then of course to mail it to me they had to charge me all that extra and then the activation fee for upgrade. What a joke. This phone is staying with me now for the end of these next two yrs. Glad to finally get back to Nokia, no more Motorolas for me. Thanks to Icyhot for the info earlier!

But you shouldn't have been charged an activation fee, which is $36..you should be charged an upgrade fee, which is $18.

I ordered mine yesterday. My company has a corporate account, don't know if that matters. I called Cingular's Business unit.
2 year plan, $269. I am wondering if they ran out of phones quickly. That was a fear of mine so that's why I jumped on it quickly.
Hope to have the phone in my hands Saturday 😎

Hey... as I was writing this, a knock at my door. Would have been shocked had it been my phone. Got all excited *lol* But it was my Krusell case I ordered for it yesterday. Just from the case, I can tell. I am like the thiness of the phone verses my 6620. Also a little shorter and not quite as wide. Pretty much the same size overall. I didn't realize HOW much thinner it is though 😁

Hey Sideout9257, you have the Krusell leathe case for this phone right? Doesn't it have a hole on the front of it for the camera that the 6680 and 6681 has? I was wondering about that since the 6682 only has a camera lens on the back of the phone.

Yeah, unfortunately it does has the hole on the front for the camera on the 6680 and 81. Krusell, at least currently, does not have any other case for the 6682. So, I figured big deal, the hole.

I had a Krusell for my 6620 and love it. Fits like a glove. Krusell makes them perfect fit to the phone. When I first got the case for the 6620 it was a bear to get on, it was so tight. But after not too long the leather streched and easy on and off. Which is good. Because my one thought with the 6682 is... how is it going to work with the sliding back that cover the camera. I am thinking should be able to slide it up and down even in the case. If not, just take it out. It is quick and easy once the case stretches. Plus, it is deservin...

Yay! 😁 I finally ordered mine through the business division. It cost me $209.99 with a 2 year contract plus $9.95 shipping.

I'll have to hurry up and be patient now.

FYI: I'm in Rochester, NY.

HaHaHa "hurry up and be patient"

I patiently checked the status of mine today *lol* It left Memphis Tn. at 3pm. Although it sat in at FedEx since 1 AM. The nerve! Ha!
I'm thinking that should make for it being at my front door in L.A. Ca. buy tomorrow 😁

You must have a better corp. contract than my company. Mine cost me $269.00. But no shipping or activation fee.

I ordered my on Thursday and rec'd the phone yesterday. The phone is great. Internet is fast and the zoom on the camera is better than a real digital camera. Gets up close and personal.
I called up Cingular and the Missouri office was the one that took my order. I was also told that the phone was on back order when I called back a couple of hours after I placed my order. But they said that another shipment was on it's way on Friday 9. Make sure you select new sales. That's how I did it. And also, the speaker is pretty loud on this thing, which is great if you download mp3's on it. Only complaint is memory card capacity is too small. Can put enough info on it.

Icyhot,

Please tell me, do you have a corporate acct with 10 or more phones? I spent nearly 2 hours on the phone with a very persistent rep, but in the end she just couldn't place the order. It would have been a snap if I had 10 or more phones on corp. acct. God willing they will be in the stores next week. Geeeeez

So if you were not under a corp acct. then what number did you call? and what other information can you share with me to succeed in placing an order? Thanks, Bob

I do not have a corp. acct. I am just a regular customer. I called 611 and that is how I ordered mine. I guess I was fortunate to get a helpful representative.
