Funny . . . there should a another site that takes bets as to the release date for phones. I think we can make a killing with some of these people who believe that I got a cousin who's brothers sister's uncle's best friend works for the administrative assistant of the second vice president's uncle's father and he says that the release date is July 32, 2010

Late q2 or very early q3 of 2005. most "guesses" are middle of may. Supposley some store managers are starting to get the units in for testing purposes. I guess we will see what happens

I just got confirmation from Samsung on the Samsung i730. The rumors are correct - late 2nd qtr this year (2005)!!!
Verizon gave me Samsung's mft. number (Samsung: 888 987 4357) and they gave me the info! I was shocked. I almost went for the Treo 650. Today was a good day

I would place money on the fact that a camera phone will be released 3 months or so after the non camera version coems out sort of like the xv6600. To many companies now days have poicies against camera phones.

the blackberry e-mail support will be a huuuge asset for this device
from having the blackberry 7750...i loved being able to sync up to 10 e-mail accounts to be pushed to my device
thing i didn't like...was its dull color screen...lack of bluetooth(fixed with the 7250) and no voice dialing(i didn't check the i730 voice dialing before posting this...but samsungs usually have something) and also functions such as pocket word/excel/outlook
the i700 wasn't a bad phone...but it wasn't a great one
i hope the 730 will be worth spending close to 550 on

i would say that verizon PURPOSELY did not take on the Treo 650 because they were waiting for this baby. Now I know they have been talking about releasing the 650, but I think it's just because they have a ton of people asking for it. However, I'm willing to bet that they originally did not plan on releasing it seeing as how the i730 will kick its ass.
Well, technically I guess you can say that the 650 is just a palm version of the i730... although the i730 (so long as verizon keeps all its features...but I'd bet the wifi gets cut out for obvious business reasons...but that's no problem for me since I'd rather pay for the broadband service on it than to have to find a hotspot).

😕 Bummer - I just called that number and they said they have no information on the i730, going so far as to say that there's no indication of whether devices introduced on sites like this will ever even be released.
