Really Pissed at somebody about this phone
I purchased this phone for the wife for christmas....she has been wanting her own ringtones without paying verizon's ridiculous prices. I have the motorola E815, and can send myself an email with the ringtone attached as an MID file. I get this phone for her, thinking it might be better than Moto....was I mistaken. Who is the prick that disabled the ability to save the attachment in the ringtone section of the phone? Why would they do this on LG and not Moto. I have a friend with an older model LG phone (4700??) and this trick works just fine on their phone. I don't understand. I have read posts on downloading some software and buying a cable...but sure sounds like a pain in the ass. Who should I be pissed at?? And should I just ret...

I have read about Bitpim...but how much time is involved in doing this...and WHERE specifically can you find a step by step set of directions for doing this to your phone? Which version should you be using. Is it as simple as plugging the phone in to your computer and a couple clicks?

I just bought my cable on Ebay for 1 penny and 6.99 shipping... thats a laugh.......... Go to www.pitpim.org and all instructions are there....... From all I read yes its just a few clicks and you are there....... Get the latest version of bitpim, install.... Connect phone and done......

it is super easy to use. You can't really get pissed at anyone because you are trying to get around paying for ringtones, what are you going to do take it in the store and yell or call customer service because you can't cheat the system and wiggle your way out of using verizon's gin service they dumped billions into, they are all going to laugh at you 🤣 i know it sucks but bitpim is super easy so don't worry about it to much.
