I might switch back and wait...

I've been reading lots of comments about several Verizon phones, and I'm having the toughest time deciding what I want to do. I switched from the LG 6100 (which was a cool internet-only phone and I love it) to the LG 8100 earlier this week. I gotta tell ya.... it's just a super bulky and unattractive phone in my mind. Whatever I choose, I'm going to be stuck with for two years... Do I really need Bluetooth? I don't want the video or MP3 features, but I wanted Bluetooth because I'm thinking Mass. will turn to hands-free within the next two years.

I feel like I should return to my old phone and sit tight. Two years is a long time. I'd appreciate any thoughts on whether greater things are coming in early 2006? Thanks!

the new nokia is smaller and has bluetooth, kinda of hard to find one though, only radio shack and bestbuy seem to be carrying at the moment and their supplies seem limited. I would also suggest maybe just signing a one year agreement. the razor will be out in december and i am sure some new models with bluetooth will be launching as well, i personally thaink you are nuts for dropping the 8100, i sell phones and i myself have used many many different models and that one is at the top of my list as far as build quality and features.

Well, I swapped back yesterday.... For the record, I was wrong - I have the 4600. Definitely an awesome phone, minus the bells and whistles.

I think I may be ready for a camera, which I purposefully didn't get on the 4600, but I really don't get why companies are expecting you to carry around the heavy real estate of MP3 and video. It's a PHONE.

I know some people are looking for anything and everything, but I guess I'm just not.

As for the one year contract, that's fine I think, but the phone is replaceable every two years no matter what, right? I'm just gonna sit tight until spring.

Thanks!
