Silent mode not so silent!
I'm at work and have my cell phone on my desk while I'm working away quietly.... my phone is in silent mode birds are chirping outside and all (get the picture?) and RING RING RING!!!!! What the heck? I had to double check after wards and I even had the little silet icon in the bottom left hand corner. So, my phones rings in silent mode now too? Great. I still love my phone but... c'mon verizon.
Anybody having this issue? We wait so long for these phones to come out and verizon says it's because they're doing "testing". Did they forget to test that? Silent mode?
Also, did they forget to make a test call to see if they can actually HEAR the person on the other line? What sort of "testing" exactly?

Yes!!! I have the same issue. I don't know what im doing wrong.. the phone is on silent, yet it still rings wtf??

If you push the volume key down with the flip open it will turn all the sounds off on the phone.

yes this is an issue i have had 2 of them that do it .... even if you open the phone and make the MASTER volume say sounds off .... still rings sometimes does not do it all the time ...... i think this could be a known issue to many people are having the prob. yeah ... kinda sucks

Thanks! I did turn the ringer off, it was in "silent mode". I said that. Did you think I didnt think of that? lol

I don't know if it's the same bug, but I've had the same problem when my phone is in vibrate mode. I've noticed that the vibrate mode works until I get a TEXT message, and after that it'll start ringing when someone calls. Do you remember if your silent mode de-activated after receiving a txt message?

We're not crazy. It's obviously another bug. Do the techs at vz read the message boards?

Obviously not. I'v spoken to two in the past week. Both tell me they've no complaints on the phone.
I complained about the sound and reception quality. One of them said have a tech look at it. Another said the tur the master volume down the earpiece volume

I was able to duplicate this problem on my phone as well. It works fine until I receive a txt message, then thereafter when a call comes in, the phone vibrates and rings at the same time.

Mine does not do it after receiving TXT Messages, Mine only does it after answering a phone call. After answering it, it will start ringing the next time i get a call or txt. This is a bug that defiantly needs FIXED.
what i do at the moment for a current fix at work is once i receive a call, i turn my volume back on then back to vibrate, which will work again.
