I was a down with Motorola guy before. But now that I have the phone I swore off, I came to realize....

These are just phones people. While there are differences between companies and all that good stuff.... It's just a phone. This epiphany came after weeks and weeks of arguing with Verizon Reps all over the place trying to get a new phone, waiting what feels like an eternity for the 8100, and getting more angry with the whole process than was worth it..

If you are fortunate enough to nab either the e815 or the 8100, great. The way I l...

I agree, I have posted several times that these phones are more similar than they are different in terms of features. If you are upgrading from a two your old phone, either one of these is going to put a smile on your face. I understand that for some of the folks here switching phones is a lifestyle and they are a little more critical but the one thing that is universal, if your phone isn't clear and doesn't have good range, you are miserable regardless of all of the other bells and whistles. And regarding the bells and whisltels, I have never heard the words "neutered and crippled" thrown around anywhere else but phone forums. You got to be kidding when you get this upset over your phones inability to work like a good camera or a compute...

You've got to remember that most of the people on this forum that get so "dramatic" about a cell phone are kids. You would think that the biggest thing in their life is a new cell phone! And sadly, maybe it is for some of them!

You are right that both the 8100 and the 815 are just "cell phones", with a few side extras thrown in. Both are good, very good, with very little differences. LG fans will like the 8100 regardless, even if the 815 has better reception of other better features. Moto fans will prefer the 815. That I guess is personal preference.

And by the way kid...

You know you are right, it all makes sense now that I think in terms that most of the participation is by kids. It says alot about the quick tempers and immaturity, excellent point.

Not true, I doubt a lot of kids are spending their days looking at phone specs instead of online gaming on their computers. I would say there are more twenty-somethings reading this thread than "kids".

"A phone by any other name would sound as sweet." (Apologies to the Bard 🤣 )

So you are satisfied with the Moto? My question, then, is--does it have the dedicated, usuable Mp3 player?

Thanks! And thanks for the perspective for the rest of us 🙂
