Comparing the Edge22 to the 13max pro the edge only uses 1/3 of the 5G bands while the iPhone has 66% more bands available on their phone.
The moto looks very nice, however you will be on 4G most of the time.
The radio's on the Moto are very lacking. Why?

I have the Edge 2022 and getting great 5G UW. Maybe it's just where I am located. No complaints here.

In general, more bands are better, yes.

But all that truly matters is whether it supports all the bands used by the particular network you're trying to use it with. So while it's nice that the iPhone 13 supports 5G in bands 1, 3, 7, 20, 28, 38, 40, and 78, those bands aren't used in the US at all, so it's really irrelevant when in the US. Similarly, Verizon doesn't use bands 30, 41, nor 71, so the iPhone's support for those bands isn't going to help Verizon customers at all.
