Message Indicator icon WONT disappear!.......
Hi, the new message received icon (envelope on outside/inside displays) will not go away.....it's frozen there. I'm not going crazy -- deleted all the text messages & voicemails just to be sure.....& I've received new messages from people since, & it still wont disappear after they're old. It's been like this for over a week....Also, when I call my voicemail, it says I have no new messages....
When it happened, I was playing a game on the phone & didn't answer when the person called & left a message --- So somehow because of that, the icon became frozen on the screen.
It's just a real hassel -- always having to go in & check to make sure I have no new messages.
Just wanted to make sure I couldn't resolve the problem myself, with...

Weird, I've never heard of the message indicator staying on with no new messages and no text messages.
Verify you don't have old messages in your voicemail? That possibly could be doing it? Also, you might want to try clearing out your text messages. I think I remember some type of indicator showing that the memory was almost full.
That doesn't work, you could try doing a master reset. It should not affect your phonebook.

You probably have this resolved by now, but if not... I had this problem a few years ago w/ a Motorola v60. You have what they call a "ghost message" It's been awhile but I think I had to go into the messages option & do a "cleanup now" Tech support should be able to help you.
