The 8100 ,I like the phone but had to return it three times. Twice for microphone problems and once because the front screen and buttons did not work. I really liked the software on the LG phones they are very easy to navigate through the phone and the quick keys to lock/unlock and put your phone to vibrate at a blink of a eye were really nice and very user friendly .I finally returned the 3rd one because I was on day 15 and would be stuck with a phone that I was having problems with. So I put service back to my old and tired moto 720. A week has passed and I went today and picked up the Moto 815 ,LOL what is everybody ranting and raving about ? The Software on this phone is absolutely the friggin worst ,I could navigate the rain forest in C...

yeah i havent been to impressed with this phone so far...The vibrate is ridiculous! an absolute joke...I do like the option to customize the menues, but I have to agree that there are some tedious extra steps when you are navigating this phone...overall azll though its a solid phone and i would still take it over the 8100 (mainly due to the color, i hate the lg because of the stupid blue faceplace)

ANyways it wont be much longer till the 930 comes out and I will be making a switch back to samsung

I had 4 LG's go back (the last was an 8100- that had problems) - stupid phone almost got pitched out of a car window at 60 mph due to the junk software on it. Verizon let me switch to the 815 and I didn't have any problems in the 10 months that I owned it.

I switched over to the XV-6700 pda about a month ago since I couldn't find a Verizon phone that doesn't have that garbage Get-It-Now-No-You-Can't-Do-That-Unless-You-Pa y-For-It-Or-Hack-Your-Phone-Same-As-Everyone- Else interface.

I have an 815 and a 6700. I agree, Moto software blows. But I have this phone for it's performance as a phone (signal strength, clarity) and for that it is as good as I've had. The Moto Phone Tool Kit works very nice in synchronizing my contacts from my Outllook data base.

I've had the phone for a couple of months now and it isn't going anywhere for awhile.

I love the interface on the E815. You make it the way you want it to be.. all the features I use everyday are with in just a single click. unlike other phones that I've used by other vendors. The new Verizon UI is overly simple and leaves no room to customize, that the main reason why I won't give this moto up.

Everyone complains about the vibrate on this phone but I believe it is one of its best features. I had an LG before this and the vibrate was way too much. As a college student I sit in class and hear phones on vibrate constantly sounding. Why is there sound??? That's the point of vibrate......so you don't hear it.

For anyone other than the dumbass who wrote this post in the first place, one cool thing about the e815 is that you can set up shortcuts. For example, to view my pictures I set up a shortcut and now I just have to press "Ok" then "1" and I don't have to go into the menu at all, it brings me right to a listing of the pictures!
