I read instructions here about chopping a song, putting it in a CF card, sending it to a non-working address, and then applying it as ringtone from the outbox. I've tried converting some songs from CDs to mp3 using the lowest possible bit rates, then chopping only part of a song (just around 20 seconds). Yet, each file is still around 450Kb or more. I just can't find a way to make the files smaller (making it mono won't do).

So, my questions are:

- Would it work if a file is bigger than 300Kb?

I'm sure you'll figure it out. I ripped bits at 96KPS and used 30second ringers and din't have a problem. Also just go to this address http://funformobile.com/pages/ringtone/upload Ringtone.php and you can email your self these small files and you don't have to use a card. Just cut and past if link dosen't work
